Heritage House Health Care Centre Quitman TX

Unfortunately, there has not been any attention paid to the upkeep or modernization of the facility. Of major importance, the living quarters are subpar in the dementia/Alzheimer’s care ward. The rooms are small and administration is squeezing in two residents into a room. This may be ok if these were short term stays but for most this is now home.

Heritage agreed to take him back long enough to get their money and they sent him packing, allowing social security to be sent back and Medicare lapse to where nothing was covered. Now they're claiming he owes them $300 instead of accepting his social security check and forwarding to the new care unit like they should have. I do not recommend this place to put your loved one. To be a big nursing home, they have so few patients, the morning staff are extremely friendly and helpful but while we were there shift changed happened and the afternoon shift wasn’t as friendly. The patients all seemed extremely happy and well cared for, the only downsides that we saw was #1 the inside of the building needs a major overhaul, It looks so outdated!
